The mission of the Ocmulgee Drug Task Force is to aggressively seek out, dismantle, and prosecute drug trafficking organizations (DTO’s), drug traffickers and drug related violent criminals. The Ocmulgee Drug Task Force (OTDF) is a Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) Work Unit serving six Georgia Counties including Eatonton, Gordon, Greensboro, Ivey, Madison, Milledgeville, Sandersville and Tennille. The ODTF office was formulated to maximize inter-agency cooperation.

ODTF is a shared effort between the GBI and participating local law enforcement agencies. The GBI provides supervision, agents and logistical support to the work unit. Local participating agencies provide one or more officers whom are specially sworn GBI Task Force Agents. State and Local Agents work side by side to combat illicit drugs within the six county area of operation. The Ocmulgee area of operation includes the counties of Baldwin, Greene, Morgan, Washington and Wilkinson.

Currently Law Enforcement Agents are assigned from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, Milledgeville City Police Department and Eatonton City Police Department. The ODTF Office will accept application for agency membership from any governmental law enforcement agency serving within the ODTF area of operation.
